HiDrive software: Supported file and folder names

Not all of the characters supported by HiDrive are also supported by Windows. This applies to the characters \ / : ? * ‘‘ < > |. Files containing these characters cannot be downloaded during synchronization. In these cases the synchronization status will indicate an error. The HiDrive icon in the taskbar will show a message about the use of invalid characters. Other data and folders will be synchronized as usual.

How to fix the problem of invalid characters:

  1. Log in to your HiDrive.
  2. Go to the file or the directory containing an unsupported character.
  3. Rename the file or directory.
